Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bodywork is a type of massage therapy that involves the hands, elbows and forearms to manipulate soft tissue and restore function. It’s used for both musculoskeletal disorders of the spine, hip, knee and shoulder as well as non-orthopedic issues such as migraines or neurological conditions. Through manual therapy, your therapist can help reduce pain, enhance movement and restore function to your body.

  • From the moment you step in, your therapist will take time to get to know you and your goals. Based on your history and symptoms we may have a brief postural screening and movement analysis. Then we will focus on addressing your specific needs through a catered game plan of bodywork or stretching. After the bodywork is over we will discuss specific ways to take care of yourself, build strength and endurance, and prevent pain from becoming chronic.

  • Our session will be catered to your level of pain tolerance and comfort. I generally try to find that balance point of pressure where the pain is more of a 'hurts so good' type of feeling. Some areas may be more tender than others but we will work together to find that sweet spot.

  • There is meter parking directly in front of the building. There is also free neighborhood street parking up to 2 hrs from 8am to 6pm on Martel and parallel streets.

  • I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I support payments through Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), an arrangement through your employer that lets you pay for many out-of-pocket medical expenses.

  • Payments can be made with cash (with exact amount only), credit/debit card (2.8% fee added), Venmo or Zelle.

  • Yes! You can purchase gift cards and send them electronically to anyone. They may schedule a session and use their gift card code in person.
